Nicolas Kayser-Bril

In charge of the datajournalism team within OWNI, a Paris-based, innovative online media, Nicolas Kayser-Bril graduated in Media Economics in 2008. A self-made developer and journalist, he pioneered the field of datajournalism in France and Europe from 2007 onwards.

He explores the opportunities of mixing computer science with journalism to reinvent storytelling and business models online. At a time when revenue streams dry up and journalists lose their legitimacy, he tries to create synergies between two trades that are complementary but often seen as rivals.
